Abstract

This research explores the modernization of China's vocational education through enhanced apprenticeship systems to address the demand for high-end skilled talent. It emphasizes the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical training, the importance of robust school-enterprise partnerships, comprehensive assessment and feedback systems, and continuous professional development for educators. By examining the historical context, current challenges, and comparative advantages of apprenticeship models, the study offers actionable strategies for improving apprenticeship programs in China’s vocational colleges, particularly in clothing design. The proposed reforms aim to enhance student engagement, skill development, and employability, ensuring that China's workforce is competitive and adaptable to the evolving global industry demands.
