The purpose of this study is to explore the application of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in the assessment of teachers' digital competence in Chinese vocational colleges and universities. Through in-depth analyses of the Digital Literacy for Teachers standard and related digital competency theories, this study constructs a comprehensive assessment model containing three primary indicators and ten secondary indicators. The model uses hierarchical analysis to assign weights to each evaluation indicator, thus providing a scientific and systematic methodological framework. The results of the study show that digital pedagogical competence is the most critical component of teachers' digital competence, especially in digital content creation, teaching and assessment. This study not only provides theoretical and practical support for the professional development and digital teaching practice of teachers in vocational colleges and universities, but also provides a scientific decision support tool for educational management.
