Construction of Professional Competence for Tourism Management Students at Zhejiang Vocational Colleges Based on Grounded Theory

Abstract

The tourism industry is a significant contributor to China's economic development, necessitating highly competent professionals in tourism management. The purpose of this research is to explore the process of the construction of professional competence for tourism management students in the Zhejiang vocational colleges by employing the Grounded Theory method to identify the mechanisms of developing competence. The study provides an understanding of curriculum, teaching and learning strategies, and industry ties to improve graduates' employability and learning outcomes.
